My story
Therapist Chisako

I have been working as a top therapist in Japan's largest aroma massage group since 2009. I passed a full technical test and treated over 3,000 clients.
Then I traveled around Thailand, China, Vietnam and Indonesia for the best relaxation massage techniques. And I established my own practice in Japan 2020, it was popular that other top therapists come to receive my treatment.
Since 2022, I have been offering my sessions in a five-star hotel in The Hague. After giving sessions to hundreds of clients, I started my own shop to bring real Japanese massage to the Netherlands.

Session flow
①Change the clothes to "YUKATA"
For your relaxing treatment you can change into Japanese "yukata" on the Japanese Tatami.

②Foot bath & Guidance
We start with a 5-10-minute natural herbal foot bath
This improves blood flow and detoxification of the lymphatic system. It also improves cold and rough skin. While you take care of your feet, the therapist asks about your tired areas and symptoms and puts together a menu for you. For oil massage, you can choose from three different oils and fragrances.
*Using Nano-bubble water to enhance the effect of the foot bath
③Session
The treatments heal you.
The music of the natural flow and the best techniques will make you completely forget your usual tiredness.

④Relax with Japanese Culture
After the treatment, take some time to relax and enjoy Japanese tea and traditional sweets to get you in the mood.
Shiatsu and HeadSpa
We want to tell The Hague about the real SHIATSU and Japanese main spas. All parts of the body are connected to each other.

Japanese spas have their origins in Ayurveda, a traditional Indian medicine. The treatment uses natural creams to cleanse and massage the scalp, revitalizing the hair and scalp. The treatment existed before the term "head spa" was coined in 2002, when it was known as a "cream bath," which involved a head massage while the hair was treated.
Japanese Spa Miyako uses natural creams imported from Japan to improve the scalp and hair. The water used is also nano-bubble water. This not only detoxifies the scalp, but also restores the hair's natural resilience and strength.
**Nano-bubble water:We use pure water with invisible bubbles less than 0.1 mm in diameter, which not only removes dirt but also increases the moisture content of the stratum corneum and keeps the skin hydrated.
Japanese-style head spas have the following benefits:
-
Improved blood circulation to the scalp: essential for healthy hair.
-
Reduction of stiffness in the scalp, neck and shoulders: People with tired eyes, stiff shoulders and a stiff neck often also have a stiff scalp.
-
Relaxation of body and mind: experience a pleasant massage that is difficult to perform yourself.
-
Facial lifting and swelling reduction: When the muscles of the head are relaxed, a lifting effect is achieved by pulling up the facial muscles. Improving blood flow to the head reduces swelling and dullness and can reduce dark circles.
-
Reduction of eye strain
-
Improved metabolism and weight loss
-
Regulation of the autonomic nervous system
-
Balance in female hormones
-
Improved sleep

“SHIATSU” was born in my home country Japan, with the aim of preventing and treating diseases. It primarily uses the thumb and palm to apply pressure to specific points, known as acupoints, all over the body. This pressure stimulates the body's biological functions and promotes the natural healing powers inherent in the human body.
It is a unique Japanese manual therapy.
Various types of manual therapies have been practiced in Japan since ancient times. With the introduction of three major manual techniques from the West - chiropractic, osteopathy - and massage techniques from Chinese medicine, such as Anma and Kappo, there have been over 300 different types of manual techniques in use at any given time. Since 1950, shiatsu has been legally recognized and has spread to countries all over the world, including the Netherlands, under the Japanese name SHIATSU.
The benefits of shiatsu may include: improvement of skin function, improvement of muscle function, promotion of body fluid circulation, regulation of endocrine systems, correction of the skeletal system (improvement of alignment), improvement of joint range of motion, regulation of autonomic nervous system, improvement of muscle coordination and normalization of the digestive system. Of course, these effects vary depending on a person's individual constitution and fitness level, and not everyone will experience the same effects. However, regular shiatsu treatments can provide greater benefits.
In addition, I have developed a unique Japanese massage by combining this shiatsu technique with a massage that focuses on the lymphatic flow and an Eastern method called a foot bath. I have opened a store in The Hague to offer this service. This Japanese SHIATSU massage targets not only tired parts of the body, but also the entire body, using natural materials and sometimes hot stones to relieve real fatigue. Compare it with other massages you have experienced and enjoy our unique Japanese massage at SPA MIYAKO, which removes fatigue to your core."
